Introduction to Drop Cable

The drop cable is commonly known as the indoor hanging wiring cable. It is mostly single-core or dual-core structure, and can also be made into a four-core structure. The cross section is 8-shaped, and the reinforcement is located at the center of the two circles. It can be made of metal or non-metallic structure, and the optical fiber is located at the geometric center of the 8. The optical fiber in the drop cable adopts G.657 small bending radius optical fiber, which can be laid with a bending radius of 20mm, and is suitable for entering the house in the form of pipelines or open wires in the building.

User indoor wiring

In FTTH projects, user indoor wiring is the most complex link. It is necessary to ensure the safety of the line, take into account the beauty of the interior, and facilitate construction. For example, it can be turned with a bending radius of 20mm, and can bear the side pressure of people stepping on the optical cable, and the tension caused by the dragging of the construction.
At the same time, with a variety of on-site connectors, on-site termination and docking can be achieved in the shortest time. Vertical and horizontal wiring in the building is the same as the user's indoor wiring. The sheathed optical cable is also suitable for vertical and horizontal wiring in the building. Horizontal wiring does not require very strict requirements for optical cables, but vertical wiring must require optical cables to have a certain strength of tensile resistance.
The sheathed optical cable can withstand a maximum short-term tensile force of 200 Newtons and a long-term tensile force of 100 Newtons. Therefore, it can ensure the construction safety and stable performance of vertical wiring of the sheathed optical cable within a certain height range.

Self-supporting overhead household wiring

The self-supporting "8" optical cable has a metal suspension unit, so it has stronger tensile resistance and can withstand a span of 50 meters. The optical cable is laid outdoors in an overhead manner. Before entering the house, the metal suspension wire unit is cut off and fixed on a special fixture. The remaining optical cable is stripped of the metal suspension wire and introduced into the room using a skin-line optical cable.

Pipeline entry wiring

Because the pipeline mapping optical cable is harder than the skin-line optical cable and has higher tensile strength, and the optical cable contains water-blocking materials, which can reduce outdoor rain erosion, it is more suitable for long-distance outdoor pipeline laying. The pipeline mapping optical cable adopts a fully non-metallic structure, thus avoiding the introduction of lightning into the room. After the optical cable enters the house, its outer sheath, water-blocking materials and reinforcement are stripped off, and the middle skin-line optical cable is directly used for indoor wiring, which inherits all the advantages of skin-line optical cable indoor wiring, while reducing the links of outdoor and indoor optical cable connection.
