All cable constructions, 1260~1626nm full band transmission, FTTH high speed optical routing, optical cable in small bend radius, small-size optical fiber cable and device, L-band.
Applicable to various structures of optical cables, FTTH high-speed optical routing, optical cables with small bending radius requirements, optical fiber devices, etc.
G.657.A1 vs G.652.D
A key difference between G.657.A1 and G.652.D is the minimum bend radius a cable can be bent without the cable causing a network to experience failures.
G.657.A1 has a bend radius of 10mm without impacting performance. Whereas G.652.D has a larger minimum bend radius of 30mm.
Note these bend radius are for single singlemode cables in the initial manufactured form with just their primary buffered coating and before they are given outer sheaths or put into multicore constructions as these changes to the cable will also affect the minimum bend radius.
As such, thicker sheath cables or larger multicore cable constructions typically do not use G657.A1 or A2 cores as the limiting factor on the bend radius is the physical limitations of the cable construction and not the glass core.

The G.657.A1 compliant fibers are compatible with installed networks and offer optimized bending properties. With lowest attenuation, perfect fiber geometry and tight fiber diameter tolerances, they are perfectly suited for the system demands in LAN networks.
According to the principle of compatibility with G.652 fiber, G.657 fiber is divided into A and B fiber. At the same time, according to the principle of minimum bend radius, the bending grade is divided into Two grades, 1 and 2 .

G.657.A1 fiber bending resistance characteristics
Compared with other single-mode fibers, the most notable feature of G.657 fiber is that it is not sensitive to bending. This means that the bending loss of G.657 fiber is relatively small. G.657 optical fiber has good bending resistance, making it suitable for optical fiber access network, including various wiring in the building where the optical fiber access network terminal is located.
G.657.A1 has a minimum bend radius of 10mm and is fully compatible with G.652 Single-mode Optical Fiber.
