What are the advantages of ADSS optical cable?
All-dielectric self-supporting optical cable (ADSS) has the characteristics of no metal, tension resistance, self-supporting, high insulation, no induction, thin diameter, light, easy construction and economy. It is a combined optical cable made by winding the optical fiber bundle around the central reinforcement and taking protective measures such as insulation, waterproofing, reinforcement and sheath.
Features: all-dielectric, no metal, non-conductive; small cable diameter, large tensile force ratio; low linear expansion coefficient, wide applicable temperature.


All Dielectric Self Supporting (ADSS) optical cables provide fast and economical transmission channels for power communication systems due to their unique structure, good insulation and high temperature resistance, as well as high tensile strength. Generally speaking, ADSS optical cables are cheaper than OPGW (Optical Fiber Composite Ground Wire) cables in many applications, and they are easier to install. (1) Use it as the lead-in and lead-out optical cable of the OPGW system relay station. Based on its safety properties, it can solve the power isolation problem well when it is introduced and led out of the relay station.
(2) Use it as the transmission optical cable of the optical fiber communication system in the high-voltage (110kV-220kV) power grid. In particular, many places have conveniently used it when renovating old communication lines.
(3) Use it in optical fiber communication systems in 6kV~35kV~180kV distribution networks
